He Will Make You Strong

Haven’t we already covered this topic? No … well, … yes. But not as a featured topic. Strength has been a common theme as we’ve discussed the topics of “stature,” “be men of courage,” “be on your guard” and “stand firm in the faith.” For the Squires: Be strong in faith, strong in character, strong in perseverance, strong in body. This is in line with our roles as leader, provider, and protector.
2.4.2

Be a Man

You may remember our devotion titled “What a Man.” We could just repeat that discussion again and highlight it’s emphasis on physical strength, because physical strength is an implied characteristic of men. But we also found in the devotion titled “Make You Strong,” strength in character is also a masculine trait. Let’s find a biblical correlation for physical strength and strength of character.
